Benjamin Reichel

 

Benjamin Reichel was born in 1989 in a small town in the east of Dresden in Germany. In 2001, at the age of 12, he started to take saxophone lessons in the public music school of the border triangle in Saxony. Soon he got enthusiastic about classical music and was awarded a scholarship of the state Saxony, which he maintained till university.


As a solist and in different chamber music ensembles,like duo with piano or saxophone quartet, he became a prizewinner of national and international competitions (1st Prize - "Jugend Musiziert" 2009) and performed in different countries all over europe.

In 2008 Benjamin performed as a soloist with the "Landesjugendorchester Sachsen" on a tour to South Africa . Benjamin regurlarly performs with all kinds of orchestras under which the " Junge Deutsche Philharmonie" and the "Beethovenorchester Bonn".


Since October 2009, he is acepted in the classical saxophone class of world known saxophonist Prof. Daniel Gauthier in Cologne.

After finishing his Bachelors with highest grades he continued his studies in Cologne to obtain his masters.
